The Mean Roadmap lays out the plan to establish our products as the ultimate financial equalizer for people and businesses worldwide.
We are building this financial backbone on web3 and DeFi technologies on the Solana Blockchain and through MeanFi, which is powered by the Mean Protocol, and governed by the Mean DAO. The ultimate realization is to give developers the ability to use our money legos as they see fit on their applications to buy, sell, store, transfer, invest, and monitor their customer's assets.
Why we are doing this?
We, the crypto army, are too deep into the rabbit hole to see how far the rest of the world is. And we, the co-founders, as a group of ex-pats from Latin American countries that have gone through dictatorships, communism, massive inflation, and economic stagnation for decades, we feel crypto and defi are the only way forward for us and the rest of the world.
This is a race for freedom. To win it fast we need to bring everybody else for this ride, not only the cyberpunks, and the developers, and the traders, and the investors... but also the moms, dads, workers, and kids moving billions of dollars in remittances, in payroll, in recurring savings for school and retirement accounts.
This is why we are building MeanFi, it has a very powerful double bottom line of doing good while doing well for everyone involved.

The Roadmap
Across this roadmap, you'll find many unique innovations, such as the Money Streaming, Hybrid Liquidity Aggregator, and Decentralized DCA programs, which make the Mean Protocol and this vision possible.
The project is under active development on Solana, the fastest production blockchain, and is being developed by world-class talent, security experts, and advisors with extensive experience in economics, software engineering, cyber-security, and blockchain development.

Roadmap Stages
The 5 stages of Mean DAO Products
Each stage has a specific focus area, and although they are planned to run in parallel, the idea is to deliver them sequentially. For the remainder of 2021 and all of 2022, most of the efforts will be focused on wrapping up work on Stages 1 and 2 (JOBS and HAYEK), corresponding to Consumers and Investors respectively. These are the short-term milestones we have planned for the 2021-2022 season.

Stage 1 - Jobs
The primary purpose of Stage 1 - Jobs is to allow users to move their traditional banking workloads to the non-custodial, trustless, and permissionless MeanFi application. Anyone is able to deposit, store, exchange, transfer and withdraw their money with ease.
DeFi Banking 3.0 for Consumers. 
‌These are the Key Milestones for this stage:
1.Money Streaming Protocol: Real-time finance at lightning speed allows the movement of money as a function of time, powering a multitude of use cases such as automatic recurrent remittances, payroll, child allowances, and more.
2.Liquidity Aggregator Protocol: MeanFi aggregates liquidity from multiple DEXes, CLOB, and lending protocols in Solana. MeanFi optimizes routing, pricing, and fees for SWAPS in order to guarantee the fastest execution and lowest fees, slippage, and price impact for orders of any size.
3.P2P Vaults: Enable peer-to-peer exchanges/swaps of any to any tokens using 2/2 multi-signature vaults that allow people to swap Fiat/Crypto between two people in a trustless, permissionless, and decentralized way across the world.
4.Fiat On/Off Ramps: Support the direct on-ramping and off-ramping of fiats to and from MeanFi directly and instantly.
5.Mean DAO: The establishment of the Mean DAO and its governance token MEAN. Public offering of the MEAN token, providing liquidity on Serum DEX and Raydium DEX, and establishing the governance portal on Snapshot.
Additional Projects
These are projects that will contribute to the objective of the Jobs stage for Consumer Banking but require additional planning and resource allocations.
1.Mean Piggy: A decentralized bank accounts for kids to learn about and manage their money, finances, and investments. Allow for parent setups with 2/2 and 2/3 multi-sig support for parental controls on pre-established limits and contributions.
2.Smart Wallet: A smart contract wallet (Smart Wallet) that will be owned by a Program in Solana, and allow transfer of ownership, account recovery, guardians, and many more security features necessary for the seamless transition from TradFi to DeFi.

Stage 2 - Hayek
The primary purpose of Stage 2 - Hayek is to allow anyone to become a responsible investor by giving MeanFi users the ability to deploy their working capital with ease and maximize their income potential to grow personal wealth.
Everyone is a responsible investor
‌These are the Key Milestones for this stage:
1.AMM Pools: We'll create our own AMM pools and contracts, and add them to the Liquidity Aggregation Protocol
2.MEAN Token Distribution: Mint and distribute MEAN to backers from the Mean DAO launchpad.
3.Farming Rewards: Incentivized pools with MEAN rewards that update weekly.
4.Staking Pools: Staking validator selector for SOL and other incentivized staking pools.
5.Lending & Borrowing: Give people the option to lend their assets and borrow against existing protocols.
Additional Projects
These are projects that will contribute to the objective of the Hayek stage for Investment Banking but require additional planning and resource allocations.
1.Limit orders: Allow investors to execute advanced trading strategies by configuring puts and calls for limit orders and perpetual swaps.
2.Stable USD/EUR: Users will be able to hold on to their crypto while still being able to spend its value. It allows investors to borrow stablecoins (tokens pegged to $1 or €1) at 0% interest, without selling their crypto.

Stage 3 - Curie
The primary purpose of Stage 3 - Curie is to provide business banking workloads and services through our DeFi infrastructure. This means being able to fulfill business needs such as treasury management, bookkeeping, general accounting, invoicing, etc.
DeFi Business Banking
These are the Key Milestones for this stage:
1.Subscriptions: Give businesses the ability to create products and subscriptions that can be charged on a recurrent basis (daily, monthly, etc.). The Money Streaming Protocol will play a significant role in this milestone as the primary enabler of this service.
2.Billing & Invoicing: Allow businesses to receive payments for their products and services in a number of different coins and tokens, and get those payments settled in the currency of their choice automatically.
3.Payroll: Worldwide payments by the second with ZERO payroll overhead. Pre-funding, advances, top-ups, cash-flow runs, shift-worker payments, pre-fixed contracts, etc.
4.Business Vaults (Multi-sigs): Manage CFO-like access controls to corporate funds through the use of transferable vaults that can be audited and re-keyed as needed.
Stage 4 - Faraday
In the Faraday stage (4) the primary objective is to enable professional money managers to move their assets under management in and out of crypto with relative ease. Given that institutional money is much larger than retail, these whale movements require additional safeguards and planned execution to avoid unnecessary slippage, price impact, liquidity drains, etc.
